The digital transformation of higher education presents both opportunities and challenges globally. To fulfil its role in serving the developmental needs of the SADC region, the higher education sector must embrace and adapt to the game-changing developments in digital transformation. This SFA seeks to enable SADC HEIs to leverage digital technologies effectively for teaching/learning, research, administration and other areas to enhance their performance and their contributions to regional development. This includes recent developments regarding AI and Generative AI. In view of the rapid pace of developments in these areas, SARUA also provides ongoing guidance and inputs, amongst others by way of inputs on its social media.
