This programme will strengthen leadership and management competencies within SADC’s higher education institutions, fortifying women leaders with the skills, knowledge and networks to thrive.

It aims to embolden women to advance their careers and impact their contexts, fostering a more gender-fair environment through their leadership.

  • Empower women leaders in key sectors and roles
  • Champion sustainable development through women’s leadership and innovation in higher education.

Target audience

This programme is designed for women leaders, academics, and managers in higher education institutions at middle and senior levels, across both public and private sectors across the 16 countries of the SADC region.

Programme leaders

The programme is led by experts and experienced higher education leaders from the SADC region. Each session includes expert insights and fosters critical discussion on key learning outcomes.

Sessions

There will be 10 sessions: 9 online and 1 in-person to conclude the programme. The in-person session will be held at a leading member university in one of the SADC countries.

All sessions take place at 10:00–12:00 SAST.

  • TBC: Leadership advancement for women in higher education
